Concrete Forest (Forêt de Béton) is the culmination of an artistic exploration of the Champel plateau, captured through a harmonious blend of visual and literary elements. In collaboration with the writer Lily Mabura, this book offers a sensory immersion into an urban environment often overlooked. I had the privilege of bringing this experience to life by working on the editorial text-image relationship at HEAD, under the guidance of Alban Thomas. The book is a deliberate fusion of Mabura’s evocative prose and captivating visuals, thus creating an intimate dialogue between the reader and the urban environment of the Champel plateau. “Concrete Forest” transcends conventional storytelling boundaries to provide a unique aesthetic and literary experience, uniting the artistic perspectives of photography and writing.
